Are you thinking of getting window blinds fitted but unsure of the type of window blinds you want? Well this is something that affects everyone who wants to have window blinds fitted in their home and is a big issue because of the large number of different types of window blinds available.

Types of Window Blinds

Roller Blinds

Roller Blinds are probably the most easily fitted and the cheapest option of all blinds available. Perfect for nearly any type of window roller blinds are literally as the name suggests, a blind that rolls up at the top and rolled down through a side pull string.

Roller blinds come in a huge variety of colours and materials, many people use roller blinds for kitchens.

Roman Blinds

Roman blinds offer a look of sophistication in any home by giving a layered effect when the blinds are lowered and raised. For anyone looking for something different to curtains but keeping a curtain feel to their home then Roman blinds are definatley worth investigating.

Roman blinds tend to come in fabric only but you do have the option of different colours. The fabrics tend to have the option of being dry cleaned so dont worry about how to keep them clean.

Venetian Blinds

There is only one word to describe Venetian blinds, this word is style. If your looking for the most versatile of blinds then Venetian blinds are the way to go. You can have metal, plastic, wood and so many other materials.

Venetian blinds are horizontal and are drawn upwards.

Vertical Blinds

Vertical blinds come in all manner of colours, textures and materials.  Vertical blinds are very versatile by having the ability to be drawn to one side or simply being rotated to offer more or less light.

Many people go for the vertical blind option when putting blinds in their home as they offer a clean, modern and minimalist feel that many wish for.

Pleated Blinds

Pleated blinds are a great way of controlling the amount of light into a property in a well designed manner. The blinds are drawn upwards and have a pleated, consatina look to them.

Generally pleated blinds come in a light fabric with the choice of many different colours.

Honeycomb Blinds

Honeycomb Blinds look similar to pleated blinds but have been designed with energy saving in mind. The blinds carry an interesting hexagonal structure that keeps the air in the blind stopping air from coming in through drafty windows. Honeycomb blinds are available in a variety of colours and tend to be a light fabric.

Panel Blinds

Do you have a large window or french door that needs covering then panel blinds are the perfect option. Panel blinds look like large vertical blinds but they actually slide on runners to cover or uncover your windows and doors.
